A popular speaker, author and blogger, Erin addresses women of all ages nationwide and is passionately committed to sharing God’s Truth with others. She is the momma of three adorable boys and the author of 13 books. Erin lives on a small farm in rural Missouri and is passionate about God’s Word, loving her family well, and special holiday Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups.
We are excited to announce Clayton Jennings! While still attending college, he has written two novels, produced, directed, funded, and starred in a feature film entitled Strayland, served in numerous volunteer ministries, and produced a number of short videos, all with the goal of pointing people to the all-encompassing love of Jesus Christ. He inspires young women with his youtube videos and spoken poetry, and continues to celebrate the Gospel of Jesus Christ whole-heartedly.
Breakout Session Speakers
Kim is a mother of two, a four year old girl and eight year old boy. She and her husband Nick (AKA Noah because he is always dragging home animals: three goats, two dogs, cat and mini pig) live in Gravette, Arkansas. Kim and Nick are the youth leaders at Harvest Baptist and Kim home schools their children. She also stays busy running her two business, her hair salon "Shabby Chic" and crafting business "Trashy to Classy." Kim has a passion for youth and teen girls are the closest to her heart.
Seventeen-year-old Marjorie is a young lady with a growing love for the Lord, for His Word, and for people. She is the oldest of five wildly energetic, half Guatemalan girls, all of whom are homeschooled. Marjorie is the author of one book (so far), The Greatest Book You’ve Never Read, written to get young people excited about reading the Bible (available for order on Amazon). Among many hobbies, Marjorie enjoys playing the piano, singing with her sister Genevieve, musical theater, art, watching black-and-white TV shows from the fifties, and talking with family, friends, strangers… pretty much anybody. She loves making new friends, and she wants to meet YOU!
Kim has been married for 30 years to the same guy! She is a graduate of Texas State University and homeschooled her two kids from kindergarten all the way through highschool. She also teaches homeschool high school courses in literature and history and was the instructor at Providence Classical Christian Academy (but is currently the History Dept. Head). Kim recently completed chemotherapy after an ovarian cancer diagnosis. In addition she once got a speeding ticket on the German Autobahn and owns a miniature donkey named Josephine.
Sarah is a Northwest Arkansas native. She grew up living on a livestock farm in the middle of what used to be nowhere, where she learned to do everything from raising animals, growing a garden, and raking A LOT of hay. She is the middle of 5 girls and her mom homeschooled all of them until she passed away from a two year battle with cancer. She attended college at Arkansas Tech University where she received my BFA in Art Education, something her mom inspired her to pursue before she passed away. Sarah met her husband, Nick, through a leadership position at the Baptist Collegiate Ministries at Tech. They both had a passion for teaching and sharing the gospel through discipleship and missions. They moved to NWA where she took a full time teaching job in Bentonville, AR and Nick took a youth ministry job in Rogers, AR. Since then God has blessed her with four beautiful children. GOD IS GOOD!
Wade and Brooke Bryant
Wade and Brooke both work at Grace Point Church in Bentonville, AR – Wade is the Director of High School & Emerging Generations while Brooke is the Director of the KINDLE Pre-School & Mother’s Day Out. This Texan (Wade) and Georgia Peach (Brooke) met at Dallas Theological Seminary where Wade received a Masters of Arts in Christian Education and Youth Ministry from Dallas Theological Seminary and Brooke received a Masters in Biblical Counseling. They married in August of 2009 after Wade awkwardly asked her out on their first date (he’s usually pretty smooth, but was too smitten with her) and their first child, a son named Zion, was born in August 2013, and just had their second, a girl, named Oaklynn. They also have a Pug named Otis and a deaf French Bulldog named Olive. Both of them are passionate about seeing a revival in families where parents are pouring into their kids to create generations of Christ-Followers.
Mariali Paz De Leon
There's always a party when Mariali's around! Born and raised in Guatemala City, she moved to Arkansas as a step of faith believing God to provide for her to become a design student at JBU. Well, He did...miraculously!!! She is now a Creative Director for DaySpring, but along the way she's had the opportunity to work in advertising with some of the world's top beauty brands and photographers. It's been said that she might have the world's largest collection of MILK ads. She is always looking for an adventure– her most recent one: zip lining through the rainforest in Costa Rica! She has been involved in youth ministry for the past 9 years where her passion for seeing young people walk in freedom and in their identity in Christ keeps her going. She currently helps lead worship in several church gatherings across NWA and her favorite part about it is encountering the presence of God in the midst of worship. She loves spending quality time with people and building deep friendships.
Jon is a native Arkansan who has been drawing and creating art his entire life. Jon began drawing caricatures in Kansas City almost 20 years ago where he had moved to work for Hallmark cards as an illustrator. After returning to Arkansas in 2005 to work for DaySpring Cards Jon started NWA Caricatures to serve the growing Northwest Arkansas and River Valley area with fun and unique entertainment. Jon loves to draw but even more than that he loves the interaction he gets to have with the people while he draws them. Jon says getting to design greeting cards that allow people to share their hearts and God’s love is a true blessing. Jon also like to make little monster finger puppets out of polymer clay and in the summer he mows creative designs in his front yard.
Stephanie is the co-founder and US Director of Rapha House, a non-profit organization that works with girls who have been rescued out of slavery and sexual exploitation. Rapha House began in 2003 when Stephanie first heard of the epidemic in Cambodia where girls were being sold into slavery at an alarming rate. Now operating in several locations throughout Southeast Asia, Rapha House builds communities that extend unconditional love, physical rescue and transformational healing for victims of sexual exploitation and slavery. Girls at Rapha House are given a safe place to live, an education, specialized counseling and vocational training. But most importantly, they are taught about Christ and the love, rescue and healing that comes from the cross.
Stephanie lives in Joplin, Missouri with her husband, Brandon, and their three children.
Kimberly has three children and is married to her husband Hal. She is a graduate of the University of Arkansas and will be the Retreat's Emcee as well as a speaker to younger girls. She is a Professor of Statistics at John Brown University and leads childrens' choir and drama teams in churches and schools around Northwest Arkansas.
Jared and Christen Sluyter
The Sluyters are the coolest and most passionate people around! They live in NWA and they are dedicated to leading and teaching worship to others at NWA Momentum Ministries in Rogers, Arkansas. They are church planters! They have two sons, Hewitt (3), and Bear (1). Jared is interested in photography and Christen is enjoying being a mother!
Chanika's love for music began at age 5 and love for Jesus began when she was 17. Chanika describes her husband, Jarrett, as the "most incredible man." They have been married for 15 years, and have 2 gorgeous daughters, Kaiya (10) and Konli (6). Chanika loves family, coffee, being on the lake, action movies, and seeing people come to know our Father. Her passions are laughter and living this life to its fullest for Jesus! Chanika is creative, kind, genuine, and a great investor in others for the kingdom. Hebrews 12:1 is one of her favorites.
Rachel is the owner of Adonai Ballet Academey. She says that she is very blessed to be able to do what she loves every day, which is teaching ballet. She is thankful for her students and families, and most of all, she's thankful to know Jesus Christ. He is the reason for life. She's an extrovert who loves people and who loves to laugh! Rachel has traveled to many places around the world -- she's ridden in a hot air balloon in Cappadocia, Turkey, and even para glided off a mountain in the Swiss Alps.
Miriam Eve Garcia
"There are two types of people in the world: men and women". She is in the women's category. The name given to her by her parents is Miriam Eve Garcia (but the Garcia is hereditary). She is 17 years old and attends Rogers Heritage High School. Miriam says that she is a total goof, very awkward, and some would say a nerd. She likes to think that she is a fun person to do life with! She enjoys everything in the "art" vicinity: music, ceramics, drawing, you name it! Miriam also likes Physics, space, and video games (even though she's not very good at them). If you want to get to know her, she wants to get to know you!
Shae is an online student at Alpha Omega Academy. Passionate about praising God, Shae leads worship playing both the harp and piano. Shae is a firm believer in Scripture memorization and loves to share this discipline with others. Her beloved poodle, Bobbie, helps keep that permanent smile on her face!
